FREE Support Group – Relapse Prevention
For any past or present patient of Marquette General Behavioral Health addiction programming.  This group is led by a Behavioral Health Counselor and peer recovery volunteer.  Participants will be able to obtain support for recovery from addiction.  This group meets every Thursday from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.  No admission or registration is required.  For more information, contact Mary Campbell at 906-225-3160.
 
FREE Support Group
For any family member, partner, or person, concerned about the drug/alcohol use of a past or present patient of Marquette General Behavioral Health addiction programming.  This group is led by a Behavioral Health counselor and peer recovery volunteer.  Participants will be able to obtain an education regarding addiction, effects on the family, resources for support and assistance, and find hope.  The group meets every Tuesday evening from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in our outpatient department.  No admission or registration required.  For more information, contact Jill Vessels at 906-225-3160.
 
Prime For Life*
“Best Practices,” Research-based program developed by the Prevention Research Institute
Education/Early Intervention: Programming available for Adults and Adolescents.  Snacks provided!
Cost - FREE*
*Funding for Prime For Life is provided by NorthCare Substance Abuse Coordinating Agency and the Michigan Department of Community Health, Bureau of Substance Abuse and Addiction Services.
 
Structured Outpatient (STOP)
Evidence-Based: Living In Balance and PRIME Solutions  Level – I (outpatient)
2 groups (evenings) per week plus an individual session every other week.  Family sessions also available.
 
Structured Outpatient  - Light (STOP Light)
Evidence-Based: Living in Balance and PRIME Solutions
Primary care program for those with a substance abuse diagnosis.  Appropriate for those who have already completed a court-ordered education program and have re-offended &/or for those who do not meet criteria for substance dependence.
Twelve (12) weeks of group therapy with three (3) individual sessions.
 
Continued Care Programs
Evidence-Based Programming: PRIME Solutions
Aftercare services for those who have completed a primary substance abuse treatment program.
Weekly group therapy with individual sessions.  Family sessions also available.
 
Impaired Professionals Program
Approved provider with the Michigan Health Professional Recovery Program (MHPRP) and the Lawyer’s and Judges Assistance Program (LJAP).  “Un-licensed” professionals also welcome, i.e., teachers, police officers, etc.)
Weekly group therapy with individual sessions.  Family sessions also available.
 
Enhanced Outpatient Program
Evidence-based:  Living In Balance
Substance abuse treatment for those who need a firm foundation for recovery from addiction. 
 
Co-Occurring Disorders Group
Weekly group therapy for individuals with mental health and substance abuse problems. 
 
 

Mental Health -

Bipolar Treatment
Group therapy for those diagnosed with bipolar disorder.  
Admission requires referral by mental health professional.  Contact Sue deGroot at 225-3208 for additional information 
 
Emotion Regulation Skills Training
Evidence-based: Dialectical Behavioral Therapy
Classroom structure to teach Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness skills.  This program requires a referral from a mental health professional and active participation in individual therapy while in training.  Contact Mindy Miller at 225-7072 for additional information.
